This is a species that belongs to the people of New Zealand regardless of where you stand on hunting. We will all want a middle ground – a middle ground that preserves the species, preserves the native ecosystem, and provides outdoor recreation to New Zealanders and continue to drive an incredibly vital economic sector for the people of New Zealand.

In order to highlight what is happening with Tahr and to really show who hunters are, and what the Tahr means to hunters, something out of the box needed to be undertaken. We needed to show the general public from New Zealand in the flesh, this exceptional animal. We needed to send a vegetarian, a wedding photographer, a university student into the backcountry of New Zealand and show them the beauty of the Tahr and through it explain who we are with words, with our passion, and our actions
So that’s what we did and this is the result …
