Shane De Bruin is from the small town of Pearston, Eastern Cape. A town where there is not much hope of escape from the typical cycles of rural life. From an early age though the Moolman Family, who own and operate Sun Africa Safari’s, noticed that Shane was a unique kid. Gifted, smart, and hard-working and they wanted to help him. They have enrolled him and got him accepted into Gill College, a boarding school that has provided Shane with the education and opportunities to now realize his true potential. Shane is now a Junior at Gill College and was elected the Board House Head Boy of Gill College, the highest prestige a young man can achieve. He was also selected to be his class leader in the Junior class for 2023.
Sun Africa Safari in collaboration with Blood Origins would like to raise $8,000 USD that will cover the remaining school and boarding fees for his Junior and Senior years in high school. We are confident that this, and his tenacity at school will lead to scholarships and bursaries from Universities in South Africa for Shane to continue his education.
Shane is an incredible kid that was raised right by his grandmother. It’s with sad news that we note that his grandmother has recently passed away, making us secure his future even more important to ensure her hard work comes to fruition.
