Lyle is more traditional of a hunter than most non-hunters think hunters are. His family hunts, his kids now hunt, even his wife has now gotten used to the idea of hunting. They now go hunting as a family. This was all to do with him seeing what was physically being put into the meat they were buying and he physically couldn’t stomach that being fed to his family. There is no trophy hunting for Lyle and his family, but why they hunt, is likely the most traditional facet – it’s for sustenance. He hunts because he wants the healthiest protein he can provide his family, as well as the life characteristics he can embed in his kids.
